Wild Country Revo
The Revo is a mechanically assisted-braking device from Wild Country; it weighs 285 g and lowering is by rope friction alone, with no lever. Rated for single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm, with one rope slot. It has an anti-panic function and rappels on a single strand. In stock at 14 shops from 104.95 EUR.
Wild Country's bi-directional assisted-locking belay device: it works whichever way the rope is loaded, and an inertia wheel locks at about 4 m/s to arrest an uncontrolled descent. There is no handle and no way to override the locking mechanism while belaying or lowering; belaying uses standard technique, with any locking carabiner. Single ropes 8.5 to 11 mm; it can be used for abseiling on a single rope. EN 15151-1 and UIAA 129.
