Petzl Neox
The Neox is a mechanically assisted-braking device from Petzl; it weighs 235 g and lowering is controlled with a lever at 3:1 mechanical advantage. Petzl's cam-assisted belay device optimised for lead climbing: an integrated wheel lets the belayer pay out slack smoothly and quickly, and when the climber falls or weights the rope the wheel stops and the cam pivots to pinch and block the rope. Single dynamic ropes 8.5 to 11 mm, optimised for 8.9 to 10.5 mm; the handle unblocks the rope with a 3:1 mechanical advantage for lowering. 235 g; aluminium side plates, stainless steel friction plate, cam and wheel, recycled nylon handle and plastic parts; CE EN 15151-1, UKCA, UIAA.
