Edelrid Pinch
The Pinch is a mechanically assisted-braking device from Edelrid; it weighs 234 g and lowering is controlled with a lever. Rated for single ropes from 8.5 to 10.5 mm, with one rope slot. It has an anti-panic function and rappels on a single strand. In stock at 54 shops from 70.94 EUR.
An assisted-braking belay device that attaches directly to the harness's belay loop, without a carabiner, for sport climbing, multi-pitch and rope access. Dynamic ropes 8.5 to 10.5 mm (static ropes 10 to 10.5 mm, 120 kg). The lowering lever has an anti-panic function that locks the device when pulled too far, plus a second braking tier for light climbers or high rope friction; the anti-panic function can be permanently deactivated with a supplied screw. Front steel braking grooves give a linear rope path, and at a belay station it mounts in four directions in 90-degree steps. 234 g; EN 15151-1, EN 12841-C, UIAA 129.
