Mad Rock Safeguard
The Safeguard is a mechanically assisted-braking device from Mad Rock; it weighs 154 g and lowering is controlled with a lever. Rated for single ropes from 8.9 to 11 mm, with one rope slot.
The Lifeguard built without its internal spring: the Safeguard locks onto the rope with very little force and, once the rope position is set, does not creep or slide, which Mad Rock offers for rescue and rigging work. For climbing use with ropes of 8.9 to 11 mm; hot-forged aluminium and stainless steel, individually tested. 154 g; CE EN 15151-1.
