Beal's tube belay device for single, half and twin ropes; the spec table gives 8.5 to 10.5 mm as the compatible diameters. Two V-grooves with ridges: the rope pays out easily and the grooves add friction for braking and energy absorption in a fall. The wide, smooth grooves limit rope wear, and each device carries an individual number for traceability. 75 g, aluminium; EN 15151-2:2012.
