Tenaya's flagship aggressive shoe, designed with Alex Megos for cutting-edge sport climbing and bouldering. The aggressively downturned, asymmetric shape with leather-and-microfibre upper locks the foot into a powerful claw. Patented Draxtor velcro system provides one-motion closure with independent tension control across the shoe. Used by Megos for the first-ever 9a onsight.

Sizing & Fit

Typically 1-2 EU sizes down from street shoe. Tenaya employee: '1-1.5 sizes down for performance line.' Performance line (Iati) sizes same as La Sportiva performance shoes. Tenaya uses 1/3 EU increments (e.g. 42.0, 42.6, 43.2). Leather upper stretches slightly.

Fit profile: medium width, standard forefoot volume, narrow heel, suits egyptian toe shapes.

No stretch expected; minimal break-in.

Stiffness

Measured stiffness: 0.48 on our 0-1 scale (0 = softest). Among aggressive shoes it sits between the La Sportiva Solution (0.42, softer) and the La Sportiva Genius (0.56, stiffer).
