Scarpa Helix V Women's
Scarpa
The women's version of the Scarpa Helix V, a comfortable velcro entry shoe on a lower-volume women's last. Flat and forgiving for the gym, slabs and all-day routes, with quick two-strap closure.
Best For
Best for sport climbing and trad multipitch on slab and vertical terrain. Aimed at beginner to hobby climbers.
Strengths & Trade-offs
Strengths
- Comfortable, flat last for all-day wear and learning
- Quick velcro closure for easy on and off
- Three-quarter midsole and Vision rubber for support
- Versatile for gym, slabs and easy routes
Trade-offs
- Flat, comfort focus gives up grip on steep terrain
- Not a performance shoe for hard climbing
- Leather upper stretches, so size carefully
Sizing & Fit
Women's last (lower volume, narrower heel) than the standard Helix V; leather stretches up to a full size, so size snug.
Fit profile: medium width, low forefoot volume, narrow heel, suits greek toe shapes.
Expect roughly a full size of stretch; moderate break-in.
Stiffness
Measured stiffness: 0.45 on our 0-1 scale (0 = softest). Among flat shoes it sits between the Simond Klimb (0.35, softer) and the Ocun Striker QC (0.52, stiffer).
